Kinks in the Road
Life is full of trials and tribulations and if you are a believer in fate then we should go with it as opposed to fighting it. Being solution focused and not stressing is key. Seems obvious especially as an entrepreneur otherwise you would be spinning on a fixed point continuously.
So when the photoshoot had to be rescheduled due to a couple of the models having unavoidable train issues I went in to 'fix' mode. Can we reschedule? What are the options etcetera. Luckily the photographer could, big phew. Sadly the makeup artist could not due to work commitments but there are options or more to the point solutions.
So being the eternal optimist, I have been pleased to have the additional time to share more visuals with the photographer and think through various ideas to really convey the narrative I want.
This weekend will focus on utilising social media to seek inspiration of shots that convey the visual narrative I want to create. And complete new digital collages of the locations and ideas of how I would like the models to stand, convey certain emotions and interact with each other. This enables easy communication prior to the shoot with everyone so we are on the same page, hopefully.
The images above represent strong women in my opinion due to varying compositions and stances. I like the idea of attitude, not aggression, depicting a message of 'I am strong and independent, don't mess with me'.
Conceptually this then needs to be paired with location and styling for each model, which for me is really the fun part as it is the time where I can be creative and experimental. All of the different elements i.e. attention to detail such as jewellery and hair help convey that story.
Coupling the digital collages with looks for each model will be my mission this week so it limits the time experimentating in the morning. Thus utilising the time productively on the day by creating as many creative shots as possible. Then the next mission starts. Marketing the brand.
